Balancing the Odds Out

Trust me to lure you into a blog post about beer with a title that’s geared more towards the casino and gambling world and perhaps even a title which could be about any valuable life experience really. There is indeed a valuable life lesson to learn however, even if it’s delivered as an unlikely parable with the use of beer and casinos as the subjects with which to drive the point home.

Anyway, the lesson is indeed that sometimes just taking the time to look at something — a situation you have in your life really — I mean really taking the time to look at it properly and analyse every little detail that has to do with it; sometimes that’s all it really takes to uncover a better way of doing it or just to get confirmation that you are indeed doing it properly.

…and they say you can’t really learn anything within the walls of a bar or a casino, but really, you can learn a lot out of just about any situation which forms part of what it means to be alive and roam the face of this earth.

I mean have you ever just sat down with a barman and somehow confided in him because he speaks to your inner spirit — the same inner spirit he’s been supplying you with through the glass he keeps pouring you, if you go beyond beer that is, unlike my beer-loving self. I’ll tell you what — the barman could very well double-up as a therapist because most barmen (and bar ladies) have somehow developed the art of being able to give really good advice. Pity a lot of that advice is wasted on drunken souls who don’t even remember that they perhaps provided the barman with a bit too much information.

So anyway, what I’m getting at in my rather loosely put-together parable is that you do indeed just need to take a serious look at what it is you’re doing and think a bit deeply about it in order to perhaps uncover a better way of doing it, a better way of getting to the outcome perhaps or even just a way that makes the entire process that much more fun.

So I was weighing up my options by way of visiting a physical casino or staying in and getting my gambling fix online. Either way, hitting the slots machines and tables at the physical casino or doing the same online via an online casino platform always goes down that much better with a beer in hand. But get this — at the physical casino you’re entitled to some free complementary drinks which means you get some free beer while hitting the spin button or placing your bets on the table, but on the other hand if you perhaps decide to learn to play baccarat squeeze online here and learn how to play other online casino games, you save money you’d otherwise spend on expenses such as fuel, which you can use to buy the beer you’d have otherwise received for free at the physical casino.

So in the end, those odds balance out, but I bet that is indeed a lesson you can apply to many other situations in your life if you take the time to think about the lesson itself!
